In addition to her professional accomplishments, Hazel has also established herself as a figure in the dog show community. Competing at prestigious events like Crufts and various dog shows across the UK, she has acquired a deep understanding of breed standards and qualities. In 2017, she became a Kennel Club accredited breed judge, specialising in Pyrenean Mountain Dogs. In her personal life, Hazel is a proud owner of Miniature Poodle Chichi and Toy Poodle Annabelle.
